Europe's Top Jigsaw Puzzle Apps Q4 2020 Performance Review

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the jigsaw puzzle app category saw impressive engagement across Europe. According to data from Sensor Tower, the leading apps exhibited interesting trends in downloads and weekly active users.

ZiMAD's Magic Jigsaw Puzzles－Games HD showed a steady increase in weekly active users, from 753K in late September to over 1.25M by the end of December. Downloads also saw a sharp rise, particularly towards the end of the quarter, with figures growing from 127K to nearly 280K. The app's revenue followed a similar upward trajectory, with a notable jump from $15K to $19K in December.

Easybrain's Jigsaw Puzzles - Puzzle Games experienced fluctuations in downloads but ended the quarter on a high note, soaring from 131K to 235K. Weekly active users peaked at over 2.19M in the last week of December, despite some dips earlier in the quarter. Revenue also showed incremental growth, closing at nearly $2K in the final week.

Art Puzzle - Jigsaw Art Games, also from Easybrain, saw its downloads explode from around 49K to over 170K in a single week in late November, shortly after its release. The app's weekly active users reflected this momentum, growing from 44K to 582K in just five weeks.

Guru Puzzle Game's Jigsaw Puzzles HD Puzzle Games showed consistent growth in all metrics. Downloads more than quadrupled from 22K to 125K, while weekly active users increased from 39K to 244K. Revenue also saw a significant rise, ending the quarter at $528.

Lastly, Relax Jigsaw Puzzles by Malpa Games demonstrated a steady climb in downloads, peaking at 71K in late December. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, concluding at 178K from an initial 75K. Revenue also increased, albeit modestly, finishing at $113.
